Europe's biggest time trial, registration opens on 5 April for the comparison of performance on 21 September. As in previous years, the event offers starting numbers for 1400 participants, consisting of individual starters and teams of four. The selection for the individual time trial will be made by drawing lots from all the registrations collected.
Teams with ten participants can register on a first come, first serve basis. The registration fee of 3 euros will once again be donated to the Upper Austrian Red Cross, the race's long-standing safety partner.
This year's edition of the race also introduces new competition classes. Professional athletes will compete for the first time in the "Elite Queen of the Lake" class, sponsored by Lenzing AG. Young riders will also be considered in the time trial, in the "U23 King of the Lake" and the "U23 Queen of the Lake" categories. The popular team classifications, including the 4-man team time trial and the 10-man team time trial, are also part of the programme again.
47.2 kilometres of free riding around the picturesque Attersee are the special feature of the ASVÖ King of the Lake. The Attersee is circumnavigated in a clockwise direction (Weyregg - Unterach - Attersee) and offers a complete road closure. The start fee for the individual time trial is 79 euros, a team in the 4-man MZF is 280 euros and the starting place for a team of ten starters is 553 euros.
