Registration is now open for the Italian cycling classic, the Granfondo La Fausto Coppi. Piazza Galimberti in the centre of Cuneo will once again serve as the start and finish venue. The central square forms the heart of the Granfondo weekend, hosting the event village and numerous supporting events. The 2026 edition attracted 2,750 participants from more than 40 countries.
The Granfondo covers 172 kilometres with 4,330 metres of elevation gain through the mountains around Cuneo. The Mediofondo is 111 kilometres long with 2,550 metres of elevation gain. The third option is the non-competitive Fauniera Classic, covering 101 kilometres and 2,180 metres of elevation gain.
Colle Fauniera is at the heart of all the routes. The legendary climb reaches its summit at an altitude of 2,481 metres and is regarded as one of the region’s most iconic landmarks in cycling. Every participant receives the official La Fausto Coppi jersey, which has become a symbol of the event.
The Event Village in Piazza Galimberti offers talks, meet-ups and a range of activities. The events cover topics such as health, culture and social engagement. Run The Night by Karhu x C'è da Fare is now in its third year. The evening run adds another sporting element to the weekend and supports charitable causes.
The ASD Fausto Coppi on the Road is continuing its support for the “Salviamo le Strade di Montagna” project. 200 starting places on the front row are available for 120 euros. All proceeds will go towards the maintenance of the mountain roads used by the Granfondo.
The first 500 places cost 50 euros. Until 31 December 2026, the fee is 55 euros; by 31 March 2027, it will rise to 60 euros. From 1 April to 22 June 2027, participants will pay 70 euros. The pricing structure remains unchanged from the previous three editions.
Online registration closes on 22 June 2027, provided the participant limit of 2,800 riders has not already been reached. Registration is available exclusively via the ENDU platform. Further information is available at www.faustocoppi.net. Anyone without a recognised cycling licence must provide a medical certificate confirming that they are permitted to take part in cycle races.
