Erlangen attracts fans of the Tour of Germany to a weekend trip in late spring. The Tour participants will meet André Greipel and Fabian Wegmann at a sports talk at the Erlangen Wine Festival on the evening before the ride (Saturday, 28 May 2022). The teams will also be allocated by lot during the evening. On Sunday morning (29 May 2022), the Ride Tour will start on Erlangen's Schlossplatz. The ride will cover 120 kilometres in the Franconian Switzerland. On the trail of last year's Tour of Germany, metres in altitude are collected, as striking rock formations and idyllic hilly landscapes characterise the heart of Franconia. The form should be right so that there is enough time to talk to the former pros on the racing bike. The peloton is expected back in Erlangen in the early afternoon. The Erlangen Wine Festival will once again provide the perfect setting for the finale.
The Registration for the Ride Tour is now available at www.deutschland-tour.com possible. The starting place costs 89 euros and includes the following services: Joint road bike ride in "Team Greipel" or "Team Wegmann", catering on the route, official support vehicles of the Deutschland Tour, a Santini jersey and a joint visit to the Erlangen wine festival with the two team captains promise an enjoyable cycling weekend.
