GCC loses another race - Schleizer Dreieck Jedermann will also be cancelled in 2021

"A postponement of the race by a few months was rejected, as a suitable alternative date cannot be found this year, nor can the necessary planning security be established for all those involved," reads a press release. The GCC race was originally scheduled for 20 June.

"The situation surrounding the amendment to the Federal Infection Protection Act with a time limit until 30 June no longer allows any room for manoeuvre. Especially as the Saale-Orla district is currently one of the hotspots in Germany, so that no significant easing of the incidence figures locally is to be expected in the medium term either," explain the organisers.

All registered participants will receive a refund of the entry fee paid by the end of June.
