Heiko Maas' relay team is completed by Laura Schwarz, the daughter of the well-known extreme sportsman Hubert Schwarz (swimming), and the musician, sportsman and entrepreneur Joey Kelly (running).
The Federal Minister of Justice will be on hand at the start of the swim at 6.30 a.m. to send the professionals of the first starting group onto the course. Laura Schwarz completes the swimming competition in the Main-Danube Canal with the second women's starting group at 6.45 a.m. and hands over the "baton" to Heiko Maas after around 55 to 60 minutes. At the end of his sporting endeavour, Heiko Maas will greet the men's winners at the finish line before his official duties call him back to Berlin. For DATEV Challenge Roth, the participation of Federal Minister of Justice Heiko Maas is a great honour and a clear sign of appreciation.
With around 3,400 individual starters and 650 relay teams from 62 nations and 250,000 spectators expected along the race courses and in the triathlon stadium, Challenge Roth is the world's largest long-distance triathlon event.
