The starting requirement for the Eroica Dolomiti is a racing bike that is at least 30 years old and a suitable outfit. Participants can ride one of three different distances (73, 95 or 118 kilometres) and meet like-minded people along the route. According to the organisers, cyclists will be "heartily spoiled" at the refreshment points.
One month before the starting signal on Saturday, 4 September, 350 starting places have already been allocated. Around half of those who have registered so far want to cover the 118 kilometre distance. It leads from San Candido via Cortina and the Passo Tre Croci to Misurina, from there on to Prato Piazza and Villabassa, up to the Silvesteralm and then back to San Candido. Those who opt for the "short" 73 kilometres ride directly from Misurina to San Candido. Cyclists on the 95-kilometre route, on the other hand, take Prato Piazza and Villabassa with them, but skip the new ascent to the Alpe di Silvestro.
You can register for the Eroica Dolomiti on the website https://eroica.cc/en/eroica-dolomiti possible. Members of the Ciclo Club Eroica pay 45 euros, non-members 80 euros.
