Where planes usually take off, the Bike Navy on 9 and 10 July 2022 is all about clearing the way for the cyclists. The ten-kilometre circuit runs along the runway of the naval airport in Nordholz and is unique in its kind. The route leads past aircraft hangars, parked planes and the facility's large tower.
There will also be plenty of fun on the race track. Well-known ex-road cycling pros - including André Greipel for the first time - invite you to take part in the shows and compete with them. They will also accompany the groups on Saturday on the bike ride along the Wurster North Sea coast.
In addition, the derny races provide a further spectacle in the start/finish area at the Aeronauticum. New this year: the three rides on Saturday (9 July), with distances of 25, 50 and 65 kilometres and accompanied by the Bike Navy pros. In co-operation with the district of Cuxhaven, a school competition will take place for the first time this year at the Bike Navy.
The start fee for the bike ride is 9 euros for adults, individual starts are currently 44 euros. Information and registration at: www.bike-navy.de
