Which muscle is working when your legs are circling, you're pedalling in the saddle, you're riding in the lower handlebar position...? And how are they specifically strengthened? The book by professional cyclist Shannon Sovndal answers all the questions.

Strength training is also an important training supplement in cycling. Unfortunately, there is often a lack of background knowledge. Former professional cyclist and fitness trainer Shannon Sovndal has now published a descriptive book on muscle training specifically for cyclists. With the help of anatomically detailed drawings, around 70 exercises for arms, shoulders, neck, chest, back, abdomen, legs and whole body training are described. These include exercises with weights and equipment in the gym, as well as the corresponding movements on the bike. This gives the reader a good overview of what happens where in the cyclist's body. However, the book does not contain detailed exercise instructions with training plans.
