Anyone wishing to take part in the folding bike four-man team time trial in Berlin must first pass the Truth Commission with their team. After checking for "moral maturity, upper lip hairstyle and a deep love of folding bike racing and Berlin", 10 teams have already been deemed worthy of participation and admitted to the competition.
Nobody is disadvantaged: "Women with moustaches are welcome, because the folding bike is actually a ladies' bike. If the moustache does not sprout, a valid and signed Beard growth incapacity certificate be presented," reads the organisers' press release.

According to the organisers, the route of the event has also almost been decided: the classic Kanzler Kurve - the so-called Merkel-Raute in front of the Brandenburg Gate - will be ridden.
