On Saturday, 8 October, it's that time again: amateur cyclists start in Binz for the RTF "Rund um den Jasmunder Bodden", the first part of the annual Tour d'Allée Rügen. Three routes covering 46, 74 and 111 kilometres are on offer this year.

The 17th edition of the Tour d'Allée Rügen starts in several groups from 9.15 am in the Baltic seaside resort of Binz. As in previous years, the attractive 111-kilometre route leads from Binz to Mukran, via Gnies and Trent to the Wittow ferry, where a refreshment station awaits the participants. In keeping with the name of the event, the cyclists complete a large part of the tour along scenic avenues.

The event is organised by the Rügener Radsportverein Tour d'Allée e.V. and is also advertised in 2011 as a cycle tour ride (RTF) of the Bund Deutscher Radfahrer. All BDR members receive classification points for successful participation. Participants can enter their names in the starter lists at the start area from eight o'clock on the day of the event. The entry fee is seven euros, BDR members pay five euros and schoolchildren pay three euros.

On 15 and 16 October, the "Cycling with Celebrities" and the "Second Rügen Challenge 2011" will take place as part of the Tour d'Allée Rügen. You can find more information on www.ketterechts.eu.

Further information, registration forms and a detailed description of the route can be found at www.tda-ruegen.de.
