The 15th Säntis Classic between Alpstein and Lake Constance starts on Sunday 15 June. The various tours lead through a marvellous landscape. From the sporty Classic Tour (130 km / 1,800 metres in altitude) to the unique bike athlon in the border triangle (200 km / 2,200 metres in altitude) to the Öpfel Tour family tour, Eastern Switzerland offers a variety of options.
The popular classic tour leads from the start and finish in Weinfelden to the Appenzellerland, with the highlight at Schwägalp at 1,350 metres above sea level. Under expert guidance, participants can cycle in groups adapted to their individual ability.
The bike athlon starts in two performance groups at an adapted pace. The route is a 70 km loop, first towards Arbon and then along the lakeshore via Altnau back to Weinfelden. Participants will experience a very special feeling as they pass through the Classic Village at the start and finish. From there, the official Classic Tour of 130 km will be ridden
The Säntis Classic will be organised under the direction of "Wetten, dass...?" competition king Daniel Markwalder, who caused a sensation with his performance on a Swiss military bike against Jens Voigt.
