At In Velo Veritas, fans of classic racing bikes can ride various routes without being timed. Three selected routes are offered off the main roads: from 70 manageable kilometres in the Weinviertel wave valley to the challenging 140 and 210 kilometre routes.
Only bikes manufactured predominantly from steel up to 1987 are authorised. In addition, the gear levers were still on the frame back then. At the same time, the event honours a bike culture that has been revived in recent years. Vintage racing bikes are still coveted collector's items. After all, In Velo Veritas also stands for a conscious rejection of "faster, further, higher", according to the press release.
The day before, there will be a get-together with music, food and drink. Weinviertel specialities are served at the refreshment stations. It is no coincidence that the Weinviertel has chosen a leitmotif that also characterises In Velo Veritas: "Enjoyable serenity".
