Test 2016: Road bike light Transmitr Lightning Set from Bontrager
Operating the front and rear lights from the handlebars is a great thing. With the Transmitr Lightning Set from Bontrager, you can even control seven lights separately via remote control.

We tried this out with the ION 700 RT front light and the Flare RT rear light. After easy pairing, each light can be switched on and off separately, the light mode can be adjusted and the respective battery charge can be called up. The bracket fixes the remote control securely to the handlebar, its four arrow buttons are far enough apart and have defined pressure points so that switching is always easy, even when wearing gloves. The slim front light (140 grams with bracket) offers continuous light in three light levels plus two flashing modes. Its large light beam is homogeneous and illuminates the road well. The charging time is four and a half hours and lasts for 70 minutes at the brightest level, after which it is time to switch off, otherwise you will be in the dark after another 30 minutes. The rear light offers two flashing and two continuous light modes and burns for four and a half hours at the brightest level, with a charging time of just two hours.

PLUS Easy to operate, high-quality workmanship, practical holder, high luminosity
MINUS Not authorised in Germany, short light duration of the headlamp

Price 290 Euro
