Infected: Knog Plus

Small, light, practical: the Knog can be easily clipped onto clothes or a rucksack like a paper clipPhoto: KnogSmall, light, practical: the Knog can be easily clipped onto clothes or a rucksack like a paper clip

The Knog is not brand new, but it is one of our favourite rear lights because it can be easily removed from the holder on the seat post thanks to the magnetic clip and attached to a rucksack, belt or jacket like a paper clip. The USB port for charging is already integrated in the light, so you don't even have to remove the bracket from the bike. The Knog Plus lights up for either 2 hours with 20 lumens or 3.5 hours with 11 lumens.

The sixth sense for cyclists: The brand new radar rear light from Lezyne detects approaching vehicles from as far as 150 metres away and sends visual and acoustic warning signals to the cyclist via the React front light. This is a clear safety advantage, especially on narrow country roads, and prevents you from being surprised by cars while you are in the bike tunnel of bliss. The lighting system can also be paired with smartphones and GPS devices and provides up to 1200 lumens (front) or 300 lumens (rear) of brightness.

Some are already calling them the AirPods of bike lights because the smart lights can be refuelled in their charging cradle like earplugs. The stylish light bars snap magnetically into the brackets and light up white (100 lumens) or red (50 lumens), with brake light and optional cornering light. The light changes in flip-flop style - simply turn it over and the colour changes. Unit 1 offers an entire ecosystem of smart lights on the helmet, rucksack and bike, which can be networked with each other.

Previously there were seat posts and rear lights - with the C14 there are now both in one. Typical Lupine: The 45 lumen bright red light is milled from robust aluminium and anodised black for maximum durability. The lens produces a particularly wide visibility of 240 degrees. The C14 can be coupled directly to Bosch, Shimano, Brose and Yamaha drives. An integrated G-sensor automatically recognises whether the brakes are being applied and warns following vehicles with a brake light. The C14 can be operated either via a separate button or via your bike's on-board computer.
