Rear light from Busch + Müller in the TOUR test
The small battery-powered rear light Ixxi from Busch+Müller is a real lightweight: it weighs just 32 grams including the rubber tensioning strap.

The built-in LED shines so brightly that it is easy to recognise even in bright midday light. The Ixxi can be mounted in a flash with the rubber tensioning strap, which even fits around 35 millimetre seat posts. The switch-on button concealed under rubber is easy to operate at the touch of a finger - even while riding. However, it can also switch on accidentally if you are carrying the light in your jersey pocket, for example. In our test, the light lasted around 17 hours. A tiny, somewhat indistinctly recognisable green indicator LED has two functions: If it goes out while the rear light is on, the lithium battery needs to be charged. If it goes out during charging, the battery is full. The charging process took around 3.5 hours with the (supplied) USB cable connected to the computer.

PLUS Very bright; light and handy; very quick to install; can be switched on and off while driving
MINUS Switches on too easily by mistake; indicator LED barely recognisable

Price 19,90 Euro
