The GRX RX810 weighs 8.6 kilos, is equipped with Shimano components and is visually very appealing - its great success is probably due to its attractive price and design, among other things. The Ridley Noah Disc Ultegra (with 105 groupset from Shimano) was part of a Comparative tests of competition racing bikes and scored a TOUR grade of 2.5. At the time, we identified the comfortable frame and the option of customised paint finishes as strengths. Weaknesses were the relatively heavy equipment, which was partly due to the 105 groupset, and only five available sizes. The competition road bike is currently available at a significantly reduced price.
The POC Ventral Air was the winner in our large Racing bike helmet comparison took third place. Among other things, it is characterised by its excellent cooling and good adjustment system. Its extras include the goggle holder, MIPS and a 60-day return policy. The POC Ventral Air weighs 274 grams (58 cm) and is available in eleven colours and in sizes S, M and L. All in all, a helmet without any weaknesses.
The Scott Arx cut in one of our larger helmet tests and took second place behind the helmet from Tadej Pogacar. It scored highly in terms of ventilation and, at 234 grams, also in terms of weight, while also achieving a good safety rating of 1.9. The conclusion was that the Scott is the best value for money and therefore offers excellent value for money.
Stay safe on the road with the Smith Trace Mips helmet. The helmet is characterised by its versatility in use and safety aspects such as MIPS and Koroyd. It also scores points for its good and intelligent ventilation and the goggle holder. Available in three very similar colours and in sizes S, M, L and XL.
The Gorewear C5 Optiline Jersey jersey is said to fit very well, be breathable and, with four back pockets, offers enough space to store small items such as food. The manufacturer also advertises reflective design elements, great freedom of movement and an overall comfortable fit. The men's cycling jersey is made from 92% polyester and 8% elastane. Available in four colours and in sizes M, L, XL and XXL.
In a large comparison of 18 cycling shorts, the Gonso SQlab Go Bib was our price-performance tip. The tight, thin padding of the cycling shorts from a co-operation with the specialists from SQlab remains pressure-resistant even on long rides, but requires hard sit bones. Although the fabric is elasticated, it is a little scratchy. The seamless straps are sufficiently tight and keep the trousers secure. Overall rating: 2.0. You can find more details in our test.
The Northwave Hammer Plus is a gravel cycling shoe. This means that the shoe is designed for an off-road pedalling system. The individual shoe weighs around 376 grams in size 42 (manufacturer's specification) and is said to be characterised above all by its good grip and versatile use. Breathability is said to be only average compared to other Northwave shoes.
The Wahoo Elemnt Bolt 2.0 is a training computer. For ambitious cyclists, it not only offers extended routing options (compared to the previous model), but also aims to score points with its 64-colour display, extensive map memory (16 GB) and light sensor, which adjusts the backlighting to the surroundings. Another new feature is the USB-C charging port, which is becoming increasingly common on electronic devices. The free Elemnt Companion app can be used to create routes and connect to other apps, among other things. According to the manufacturer, the device has an operating time of 15 hours.
The Topeak Frontloader handlebar bag is part of a larger set that we have put together. tested and compared with other bikepacking sets have. Overall, the whole set was convincing, we particularly liked the Frontloader handlebar bag in terms of loading and unloading, as well as tightness. In no category did we give it a score lower than 2.0. The bag offers an 8-litre capacity, a holster with a waterproof inner bag, additional eyelets for straps and a compression valve, as well as a carrying strap.
The SKS Supershort mini pump should really fit in any (jersey) pocket or can be stored in the frame holder supplied. At 164 mm long and weighing just over 100 grams, it is the perfect, non-intrusive companion on any ride. The aluminium tube is removable and can be attached as a T-handle to make inflation easier.
