Nowadays, the smartphone is a constant companion for most road cyclists, but in an emergency it may be out of reach in your jersey pocket or rucksack. The emergency call watches from Limmex are designed to be reliable and quick helpers.

All you need to do is press the crown and, depending on the selected subscription, the watch dials either the specified numbers of family or friends or an international emergency call centre. Thanks to the in-built voice function, it is even possible to communicate in the same way as with a telephone. The watch weighs 55 grams, the case is relatively high at 15 millimetres and the dial measures 31 millimetres in diameter. The watch contains two separate power sources for the movement and radio unit, the latter is charged via a USB socket and the battery is expected to last several months. An LED integrated into the dial indicates the charging status. In addition to the price of 449 euros for the Liberty 02 model (photo), there is also the cost of the service subscription. The "Family" option costs 149 euros per year, while "Security Europe" costs 199 euros for twelve months. As useful as the system is and as versatile as it is for many other sports, the subscription policy is impractical because you have to pay for at least twelve months. It would be more customer-friendly to book individual months or variable periods, for example for travelling abroad.

PLUS Easy to operate; unobtrusive companion
MINUS Subscription policy not very practical

Price 449 euros (watch), 149/199 euros (for the Family Germany/Security Europe tariffs)
