With its motto "Ride the Wind", the Huawei Watch GT 6 series is aimed particularly at outdoor sports enthusiasts and offers specialised functions for cyclists. The new generation of smartwatches includes the Huawei Watch GT 6 Pro and the Huawei Watch GT 6 models in 41 and 46 millimetre sizes. Particularly noteworthy is the virtual Powermeter for cyclists, which has been integrated into a smartwatch for the first time. According to the manufacturer, the watches have a battery life of up to 21 days for the larger models and up to 14 days for the 41-millimetre model. According to Huawei, the improved GPS system promises 20 per cent greater accuracy compared to the Predecessor model. The new smartwatch series is available at prices starting from 249 euros for the Watch GT 6 and from 379 euros for the Watch GT 6 Pro.
The Huawei Watch GT 6 Pro is the first smartwatch on the market to integrate a virtual power meter for cyclists. According to the manufacturer, this technology is based on extensive research, including cycling simulations and wind resistance modelling in a wind tunnel. Cyclists can monitor their performance in real time on their wrist without having to install additional devices. In conjunction with the Huawei Health app, the Watch GT 6 Pro becomes a complete cycling computer that measures virtual power, heart rate and speed. For users who want to use third-party accessories, the watch offers Bluetooth connectivity. For example, an external power meter can be connected to measure the Cycling Functional Threshold Power (FTP) and optimise training.
The Huawei Watch GT 6 series uses a silicon battery that is said to offer 65 per cent more capacity than its predecessor. As a result, the Huawei Watch GT 6 Pro and Huawei Watch GT 6 (46 millimetres) models achieve a maximum battery life of up to 21 days, while the Huawei Watch GT 6 (41 millimetres) achieves a maximum battery life of up to 14 days. According to the manufacturer, the battery life is up to 12 days with typical use, up to 7 days with the always-on display activated and up to 40 hours in outdoor sports mode. GPS tracking is provided by the improved Sunflower Positioning System, which is said to be 20 per cent more accurate than the previous version. The system provides information on distance, speed and altitude differences - ideal for cycling or other outdoor activities. The Huawei Watch GT 6 series is designed to enable precise recording of training routes and distances both in urban environments and in the great outdoors.
The Huawei Watch GT 6 series is powered by the new TruSense system, which provides comprehensive health analyses. With multi-dimensional sensing, the smartwatch provides cardiovascular health analyses and monitors physical and mental well-being around the clock. The newly integrated HRV (heart rate variability) metric enables real-time evaluation of training status and supports efficient regeneration. This function is particularly popular with cyclists who want to optimise their training load. In combination with the medically certified pulse wave analysis app, which is available across the entire series, users of the Huawei Watch GT 6 Pro can perform an ECG and keep a comprehensive eye on their cardiovascular health. The manufacturer points out that these functions are not suitable for people under the age of 18 and the results should only be used as a reference.
The screen brightness has been improved on all models in the series. With up to 3000 nits, the display remains easy to read even in direct sunlight - an important factor for cyclists who want to keep an eye on their data even in bright daylight. The Huawei Watch GT 6 Pro has a raised bezel and a 5.5 per cent larger display than its predecessor. For durability, Huawei uses materials such as sapphire crystal, a titanium alloy case and a nanocrystal ceramic back. The Watch GT 6 Pro is available with three different strap options: a brown woven strap, a silver strap and a black fluoroelastomer strap. The Huawei Watch GT 6 is available in sizes 41 and 46 millimetres and comes in different colour variants.
The Huawei Watch GT 6 series has been available since 19 September 2025. The recommended retail prices start at 249 euros for the Huawei Watch GT 6 and 379 euros for the Huawei Watch GT 6 Pro. The smartwatches are available in the Huawei flagship store in Berlin as well as online and from well-known retailers and e-commerce platforms. To mark the launch, Huawei is offering exclusive offers in the official German online store until 31 October 2025: when purchasing a watch from the Watch GT 6 series, customers will receive either a 30 euro voucher for an immediate discount or a free pair of Huawei FreeBuds SE 3. In addition, buyers can secure another free wristband and use the Huawei Health App+ free of charge for three months.
