Computer for travelling
Don't fancy instruction manuals? If you don't ride a road bike to collect lots of data, the simplest computers are the best for you. TOUR tells you what they can do. (TOUR 5/2003)

There are people who don't know whether they enjoyed their bike ride until fifteen minutes after it's over. It can take that long to transform the data from all the measuring instruments into a neat graphic that you can pin up on your bed. Cadence and outside temperature, heart rate and altitude, all in fine coloured lines on top of each other.

There are other people who at best have respect for so much meticulousness. For them, it is only important that their bike computer works simply and reliably - and that it doesn't know more than they ever wanted to know. These people buy a basic computer for little money that collects the most important data as simply and reliably as possible. As a rule of thumb, the fewer functions a computer has, the less stress there is with the operating instructions.
