Thanks to the slim design of the BMC Roadmachine 01 AMP X, the battery is hardly noticeable, making it very similar to the non-motorised version. The cable routing is integrated and the frame, fork and D-Shape seatpost are made of carbon fibre.
The TQ-HPR50 drive motor is installed in the down tube and should impress with its quietness, lightness and powerful support. With a 360 Wh battery, pin-ring gearbox and fully integrated 2-inch display, the total weight is 3900 grams, making it the lightest e-bike system in its class.
According to BMC, the E-road bike offers both comfort and performance, which should maintain the natural riding feel on different routes. A higher stack and short chainstays ensure more flexibility and a relaxed riding position.
The e-road bike is equipped with 35 millimetre tyres. The large tyre clearance allows tyres of up to 38 mm and therefore offers the option of riding off-road with gravel tyres. The ICS MTT x Redshift Suspension stem from BMC can be fitted with mudguards and mounts for bike computers and lights. The display mounted on the top tube enables quick operation and allows three support levels to be set at the touch of a button.
The Roadmachine from BMC has been available in six sizes and two models since November 2022. The 01 AMP x ONE model costs 8499 euros, while the Roadmachine 01 AMP x TWO is available for 7499 euros.
