The Newmen Advanced A.50 carbon wheels are a real highlight in this price range. With their 50-millimetre-high profile, they enhance the bike’s aerodynamic performance and give it a significantly sportier feel than is typical of many classic endurance road bikes under 3,000 euros. Combined with the tubeless-compatible Continental Grand Prix 5000 S-TR tyres, the result is a wheelset that performs impressively on both fast training rides and marathon events.
The key new features compared with the 2026 model
At first glance, the 2026 and 2027 model years differ very little. The frame, fork and basic specifications remain the same. The most striking changes are the handlebar unit, as already mentioned, and the frame colour: The 2027 model is available in cosmicpurple’n’black and carbon’n’white. However, Cube has made targeted improvements to further enhance comfort, weight, aerodynamics and value for money.
New integrated cockpit
Starting with the new IC Race Cockpit System. Whilst the 2026 model still used a separate CUBE-CIS stem with a Newmen carbon handlebar, the 2027 model features an integrated carbon cockpit, complete with internal cable routing and a Garmin mount interface. This gives the bike a more modern look and brings it closer to current high-end race bikes.
Wider tyres for even greater comfort
The tyre width has finally increased from 30 to 32 millimetres. This seemingly minor change has a noticeable effect in practice. Wider tyres can be ridden at lower air pressure, which enhances riding comfort and improves control on rough tarmac. This advantage is particularly noticeable on long rides. Furthermore, Cube has increased the tyre clearance on the Attain: the generous tyre clearance, now 36 millimetres (previously 34), even offers space for significantly wider tyres.
High-quality carbon saddle
Cube is replacing the ACID Nuance Pro from the previous model with the ACID Nuance SLT Carbon. This gives the top-of-the-range model a lighter and more exclusive saddle, which blends in better with the bike’s overall high-quality appearance.
Fine-tuning the drive system
Whilst the previous model also featured the Ultegra Di2, the 2027 model goes one step further by fitting an Ultegra cassette and a matching chain. Previously, the wear parts were sourced from the more affordable 105 groupset. Whilst this does not result in a noticeable leap in performance, it does save a little weight.
Slightly lighter
Weighing in at 7.8 kilograms, the 2027 model is around 200 grams lighter than its predecessor. Whilst this isn’t a huge difference, it does highlight the ongoing optimisation of the overall package.
