Felix Großschartner: The greatest successes
Felix Großschartner is not considered a mountain specialist for nothing: His greatest successes include a stage win at the Tour of the Alps (2021) and overall victory at the Tour of Turkey in 2019. He finished 9th overall at the Vuelta a Espana in 2020 and 10th overall a year later.
Career and teams
In 2012, he switched to the Felbermayr Gourmetfein-Wels team. From 2016 to 2017, Großschartner rode for the Polish team CCC Sprandi Polkowice and also competed in the Giro d'Italia - his first Grand Tour. Bora-Hansgrohe signed him for the 2018 season. Großschartner rode to third place in a mountain stage of the Giro d'Italia for the German racing team in 2018 and finished 27th overall in the Tour of Italy. He became Austrian national road race champion in 2022, which is also one of his greatest successes.
In 2023, Felix Großschartner switched to UAE Team Emirates, for which the two-time Tour de France overall winner Tadej Pogacar also rides alongside several Germans.
