Long-term test: Tune water carrier
At 9 and 17 grams respectively, the carbon bottle cages from Tune are unbeatably light, but also quite sensitive.

Test duration: several copies of "Wasserträger Uni" 6,150 km

MINUS: Screws tear out of the holder, breakage of the bottle's retaining lug

At 9 and 17 grams respectively, the carbon bottle cages from Tune are unbeatably light, but also quite sensitive. The "water carrier" for 29.90 euros fits slightly conical bottles from Tacx. The bottles shake further and further into the holder on rough surfaces until you can hardly get them out. Then you have to put a lot of effort into it, which can lead to you riding in serpentine lines on the bike and eventually tearing the holder at the screws. The "Wasserträger Uni" model (50.50 euros) fits all common bottles such as the widely used "Eurobottle" and is actually very easy to use. However, after 6,150 kilometres, the retaining lug that prevents the bottle from sliding downwards broke off. The construction was no longer up to the strain, the bottle fell through and collided with the chainring. Positive: Tune's complaint behaviour. The bottle cage, which had been in use for around a year, was replaced quickly and without any problems.
