TACX scores with a biodegradable plastic bottle, while Elite's new one comes with a pressurised twist-off cap.

The material of the new "Bio Bottle" from Tacx looks like plastic, feels like plastic and smells like plastic. However, the highlight of the cream-coloured half-litre bottle is said to be that the material is biodegradable within one to five years thanks to a special additive. We have not yet been able to test whether the "Bio Bottle" really does decompose completely; we only recently composted our test bottle.

Elite's new product is called "Jossa" and is characterised by a combined

The "Jossa" is equipped with a pressurised screw cap, which is designed to ensure that nothing leaks when the "Jossa" is lying down instead of standing up. The screw cap remains open in the bottle holder and a small overpressure valve opens when the bottle is pressed. This has worked well in practice.
