On the road to the Tour de France, Evenepoel will make his season debut at the Figueira Champions Classic in Portugal on 10 February, followed by the Tour of the Algarve four days later.
At the beginning of March, Evenepoel will take on his first World Tour race of the year at Paris-Nice. The goal is clear: "I will try to win Paris-Nice. The route suits me well, with shorter and more explosive climbs and a team time trial in which we'll be racing for victory," Evenepoel will say at the start of the race. Het Nieuwsblad quoted.
This will be followed by a break from racing until the beginning of April, when the 23-year-old will start at the Tour of the Basque Country before focussing on the Ardennes Classics again. Evenepoel is aiming for his third victory in a row at the "Doyenne". After the spring classics campaign, the professional from the Belgian Team Soudal - Quick Step is taking a break from racing.
