Max Walscheid switches from Cofidis to Jayco-AlUla.
The German classics and sprint specialist Max Walscheid is moving from Cofidis to Team Jayco-AlUla at the beginning of next year. He signs a two-year contract with the team from Australia.

Max Walscheid: "...to help others succeed."

With over eight years of World Tour experience and his strength, the 30-year-old is expected to strengthen the team around sprint star Dylan Groenewegen strengthen. As a team player, Max Walscheid could help Groenewegen to win more stages in important races. However, he has also proven in the past that he is capable of taking victories himself. "I have the ambition to pursue my own goals in terms of results, but I also hope to be an important team-mate to help others succeed. In recent years, I have managed to take a small step forward every season, and that is also my goal with Team Jayco-AlUla: to continue to develop and give my best," the 1.90 metre tall sprinter is quoted as saying.

Walscheid is particularly looking forward to the great team, which is capable of great performances. But the fun of cycling should not be neglected either. He is looking forward to the next two years with a good feeling.

We wanted to strengthen both Dylan's sprint train and our group for the Northern Classics and Max fits the bill perfectly, in many ways he is the type of rider we were looking for. ~ Brent Copeland, Manager of Jayco AlUla
