Gravel biking is all the rage – and with its new collection, corratec demonstrates how Bavarian engineering is responding to the growing demands of this versatile cycling discipline. The three new models cover a range of uses: from a sporty carbon racer to an everyday commuter and an electrically assisted adventure bike.
The flagship model of the new range is the Allroad C1 with a carbon frame. Corratec has opted for a balanced blend of sportiness and touring capability. A particularly clever feature: low-set seat stays and an asymmetrical chainstay are designed to ensure efficient power transfer whilst also providing greater comfort on rough terrain. With space for tyres up to 45 mm wide and numerous mounting points on the frame and fork, the Allroad C1 is also suitable for longer bikepacking tours. The reinforced head tube area promises precise steering even on challenging terrain. The fitted Shimano GRX Di2 12-speed groupset and hydraulic disc brakes round off this sporty package. Available in Blue Grey/Copper Orange/Purple and sizes 44 to 52 cm. Price: 4,299 euros
If you want to ride your gravel bike more than just at the weekend, the Allroad A EQ is the perfect companion. The abbreviation ‘EQ’ stands for ‘Equipped’ – and this is clearly evident: mudguards and lights are elegantly integrated into the frame design. The aluminium frame, combined with the carbon fork, provides a solid foundation for your daily commute as well as for after-work adventures on gravel tracks. The numerous mounting points allow for customisation for longer rides. With the 10-speed Shimano GRX gear system and Schwalbe G-One Overland tyres, the bike is equipped for almost any terrain. Available in Silver/Petrol and sizes 46 to 61 cm. Price: 1,999 euros
The E-Gravel SX bridges the gap between a classic gravel bike and an e-bike. The Bosch Performance Line SX motor provides smooth, natural assistance – ideal for anyone who wants to have enough energy left for longer rides after work. The sleek carbon frame cleverly conceals the electric assistance. The CompactTube 400 battery is Range Extender Ready, which can significantly increase the range when needed. The longer wheelbase ensures stability, even when carrying luggage. With the SRAM APEX Eagle 12-speed groupset and hydraulic disc brakes, the E-Gravel SX is at the cutting edge of technology. Available in Dark Red/Dark, Blue/Graphite and sizes 39 to 54 cm. Price: 3,999 euros
