Campagnolo has announced triple cranks for the Athena, Centaur and Veloce groupsets. There is also a new crank with a 52/36 ratio for the eleven-speed ensembles.

The new triple cranks are designed to offer an optimised Q-factor (distance between the crank arms and therefore the pedals). Campagnolo has also developed hollow aluminium cranks for the first time in order to keep the weight low. The front derailleur has been completely redesigned, while the rear derailleur, which is now also available with a long swing arm, remains the same as the standard version with ten and eleven gears.

Also new is a double crankset with a 52/36 ratio as an alternative to compact and standard cranks. The new 52/36 cranksets have been developed for all Campagnolo 11-speed drivetrains: Super Record, Record, Chorus and Athena (carbon version) and are available with cranks of different lengths: 165 - 170 - 172.5 - 175 millimetres.

The weight is stated as 663 g for the Athena Carbon, 690 g for the Chorus, 40 g less for the Record (650 g) and 607 g for the Super Record. The 52/36 Super Record and Record cranksets are compatible with the Campagnolo EPS electronic drivetrain system.
