Individual test: Brake FSA K-Force
The top model in FSA's K-Force range weighs just 278 grams.

A year ago, FSA presented the brakes of the "K-Force" series, and now the Eurobike trade fair offered the first opportunity to ride the top model. With carbon brake pads and small titanium parts, the manufacturer promises 278 grams for the set. In the riding test, the brakes were largely convincing, with sufficient performance in all cases. When braking hard, the "K-Force" feels more compliant compared to Shimano brakes and does not provide such a clear pressure point. Good: the adjustable spring tension, with which the braking behaviour can be influenced, as well as the standard Koolstop pads. Meanwhile, the "K-Force" range has been given a new coat of paint: all the products in the group are now adorned with the distinctive red and white stripes.

PLUS: Lightweight; adjustable spring tension

MINUS: somewhat soft pressure point; expensive
