The newly launched Record 13 groupset is based on the same platform as Super Record 13 and utilises the same geometry, architecture and functionality. Campagnolo has opted for full compatibility between the two groupsets, meaning that the parts can be mixed and matched. The differences lie in the choice of materials and surface treatment, which lowers the price and slightly increases the weight.
The new Campagnolo Record 13 is available in five drivetrain variants:
The X versions use a specific rear derailleur with Nano Clutch and are compatible with cassettes up to 48 teeth. The standard rear derailleurs with Nano Clutch work with cassettes up to 36 teeth and are suitable for road and off-road use.
The Record 13 rear derailleur uses carbon fibre-reinforced polyamide for the upper and lower housing parts, combined with a completely redesigned steel cage. The 14-tooth pulleys with a narrow tooth width run on stainless steel bearings, while the more expensive Super Record uses ceramic bearings. The Record X Gravel rear derailleur uses a long cage and a 12+16 tooth pulley configuration for compatibility with large cassettes.
The cassette adopts the Super Record 13 gradation with closely spaced ratios for a constant cadence. Available are 10-33 and 11-36 for road use and 10-48 for gravel use with X rear derailleur. The front cassette area has a Black Chrome finish, the rear sprocket block a Satin Black coating on a zinc-silicon basis with a black top layer for wear protection. A laser-etched texture visually characterises the 13-speed cassette. All Super Record 13 cassettes including Ultra versions are compatible, increasing the range of gear options.
The range of chainrings is identical to Super Record 13: seven(!) combinations for 2x drivetrains (45/29, 48/32, 50/34, 52/36, 53/39, 54/39, 55/39) are available, no other manufacturer offers so many variants. There are eight Aero options for the single drivetrains (38, 40, 42, 44, 46, 48, 50, 52). Campagnolo Ultra Carbon chainrings also fit both platforms.
The axle of the Record 13 is made of stainless steel instead of titanium. The crank arm differs structurally: while Super Record uses a hollow carbon structure in the less stressed area, Record uses a technopolymer with a very low density. Crank lengths are available in 165, 170 and 172.5 millimetres.
The crank is also available with an integrated power meter: The Record PWM is based on Super Record HPPM with simplified electronics and consistent accuracy of ±2 per cent.
The Record 13 Ergopower retains the functional architecture of the Super Record: internal thumb shifter, shift lever behind the brake lever, a freely assignable additional button and status LED also on the Record lever. The revised 2025 ergonomics allow access to all functions from any grip position on the handlebars, whether on the upper handlebars, in the lower handlebars or in the extended position.
Record 13 Ergopower uses new grip covers with a contrasting matt-gloss finish for better grip. The hydraulic system for the brakes remains unchanged from the Super Record. Interesting for retrofitting: The Ergopower shifters of the 13 platform are also compatible with the previous Super Record 12 WRL system, which did not have thumb shifters.
The Record 13 brake caliper uses the same body as Super Record and delivers identical modulation and braking performance. The only difference is the new gloss-matt finish with Campagnolo wing logo. The brake callipers are compatible with 140 and 160 millimetre rotors, the 160 millimetre adapter is included with the front brake or is available separately.
Organic pads are standard, sintered pads are optional. The sintered pads achieve a durability of up to 10,000 kilometres under dry road conditions and were developed for gravel use and wet conditions. However, they are more likely to generate noise and wear out the discs more quickly.
The Record 13 battery is identical to the Super Record: Campagnolo specifies a range of 750 kilometres when fully charged, and the removable batteries can be supplied with new energy directly on the bike or individually using a magnetic charging cable. Charging takes place via standard USB-C cables, which enables power banks or any mains adapter without dedicated chargers. In emergencies, the battery can also be charged directly from the smartphone via cable, depending on device compatibility.
The My Campy app is an integral part of the 13 platform. Available for iPhone and Android, it provides access to all group functions: Customisation, updates, diagnostics and integration with bike computers.
The digital garage manages several bikes with individual profiles and customised settings. The Ergopower customisation allows free function assignment for each button and lever, including factory presets and a pre-programmed setting for one-handed riding.
Firmware updates are installed wirelessly via the app in just a few minutes and can bring new functions, performance improvements and extended customisation options. Bike computers from Garmin, Wahoo and other manufacturers can be integrated via the ANT+ protocol. Mode and smart buttons on the gear lever can then be configured with light, lap time, bell or other supported functions.
The diagnostic function shows the charge status of each component in real time, the installed firmware version and direct access to Campagnolo tutorials and support videos.
Like every current Campagnolo groupset, the Record 13 is manufactured in the company's own factory in Vicenza, Italy. Record 2x13 Road costs from €2,699 and is available immediately, the PWM version with power meter costs €600 extra. The Record X 1x13 Gravel and Road starts at €2,129. The Record 1x13 Road costs from €2,335 and will be available in July 2026. Record 2x13 All Road starts at €2,765, also from July 2026. All versions are also available with a power meter for an additional €600 each.
