Individual test: Shimano Dura-Ace pedals
Professional teams such as Euskaltel have been using Shimano's new top pedal for more than a year, and now the Japanese company is launching the "Dura-Ace" pedals.

The most important innovation is the pedal body made of a carbon composite material instead of aluminium, which reduces the pair weight by a good 25 grams. Proven details such as steel axle, triple bearings with two ball bearings and one needle bearing, easy entry and exit, adjustable release hardness and pedal plates with good walking properties have been retained. With these advantages, the 60 euro cheaper predecessor was already able to prove itself in the TOUR pedal test (4/2010) secure the test victory.
