The very well-equipped bike is in the runner-up group in the wind tunnel - which is probably a pity considering the price, as the frame isn't even available elsewhere. At 40 km/h, 13 watts separate the bike from the Scott Plasma 3, but the Speedmax CF 9.0 Pro scores points with its decent stiffness values and professional image: the frame is also ridden by the riders of the Omega-Pharma-Lotto team. The unspectacular but very tidy exterior is appealing: the head tube is slim and tapered, the down tube in particular is extremely narrow in cross-section, all cables run inside the frame and the adjustment screws for the rear wheel are easy to operate. The design of the seatpost with its intelligent clamping mechanism is exemplary - why isn't it always this easy? The high frame set weight is of secondary importance for the intended use.
