The bicycle industry is growing in the area of sustainable mobility: revelo by Bravobike becomes Jobrad Loop. The company, which has been active in the professional refurbishment of high-quality used bikes since 2018, is presenting itself under a new name while retaining its mission. As part of the Jobrad Group, Germany's leading provider of company bike leasing, Jobrad Loop focuses on the professional reconditioning of lease returns and used bikes of all kinds.
The name change emphasises the concept of the cycle ("loop") in bicycle use. Jobrad Loop works to keep leasing returns and used bikes from more than 500 brands in active circulation. The focus is on professional reconditioning with tested quality, sustainability and attractive prices.
Jobrad Loop offers bikes at prices that it claims are on average 45 per cent below the new price. Especially for expensive e-bikes or high-quality sports bikes, this represents a considerable price advantage for bikes that are practically as good as new.
The Jobrad Loop range includes more or less all types of bikes, from city bikes, e-bikes and cargo bikes to racing bikes, gravel and mountain bikes - the selection of brands and models is diverse. For customers looking for a specific model, the company offers a so-called bike alert. After entering specific criteria, suitable new models are reported in the shop as soon as they are available.
A core aspect of Jobrad Loop's business model is the reconditioning process that every bike undergoes. This process comprises several steps, from the initial inspection to thorough cleaning, repair of damage and replacement of wearing parts through to detailed documentation. For e-bikes, a software update is also carried out. This involves reading out the mileage and charging cycles and adding them to the bike profile. This information gives potential buyers a precise overview of the condition of the e-bike.
The Jobrad Loop concept aims to keep bicycles in active use for longer and thus contribute to sustainability. Dr Nela Murauer, Managing Director of JobRad Loop, emphasises the company's strategy: "We want to give diverse target groups access to high-quality, tested used bikes."
Reconditioning and passing on used bikes helps to conserve resources and extend the life cycle of bicycles. This is in line with society's growing awareness of sustainability and the circular economy. According to the company, up to 100 newly reconditioned bikes are currently placed in the Jobrad Loop online shop every day.
