Magic Milk: Editorial review
Behind the new Magic Milk brand is an established sealant manufacturer with a wealth of experience. A demonstration of the super-strong Hi-Fibre sealant at Eurobike was impressive. With its clever bottle design, Magic Milk stands a good chance of establishing itself on the market. They already make tyre sealant for tractors, mining vehicles and jeeps, and also produce sealants for several brands in the cycling world. Now Oko wants to step out of the shadows itself. To this end, the sealant manufacturer has launched the new Magic Milk brand and is hitting the market straight away with a whole range of products.
Cuts up to 8 millimetres: Tubeless-Pro Hi-Fibre
The star of the range is the Tubeless-Pro Hi-Fibre Sealant (21.95 euros / 250 ml). It is designed to seal cuts of up to 8 millimetres – often in just one revolution of the tyre. The manufacturer states that it remains effective in the tyre for the standard 6 months. This is exactly the same as for the Tubeless Pro Original sealant (€17.60 / 250 ml). The latter seals cuts of up to 6 millimetres, but is slightly cheaper than the Hi-Fibre.
Inner Tube Sealant: Greater puncture protection for riders using inner tubes
As well as tubeless enthusiasts, Magic Milk also aims to please riders who use inner tubes. The inner tube sealant is poured into the inner tube and is designed to last as long as the inner tube itself. The promise: greater puncture protection. The sealant is even said to be able to automatically repair ‘snake bites’ – those punctures so dreaded by riders who use inner tubes.
The Innertube sealant is available in three versions. The Hi-Fibre version seals particularly quickly and effectively, but is also the most expensive. The Original version (15.99 / 250 ml) is even officially approved by Tubolito for use with lightweight TPU inner tubes. An organic version (19.20 euros / 250 ml) contains no synthetic ingredients whatsoever and is biodegradable. All sealants are free from the dreaded ammonia.
Filling without making a mess
As well as the sealant itself, Magic Milk also aims to impress with its bottle design. A filling tube can be pulled out of the bottles. At the top of the bottle is a tool for Presta and Schrader valves, which can be used to unscrew the inserts for filling the sealant.
