Test 2015: MFCK handlebars and stem
Within just a few years, Martin Fuhrmann and his company MCFK have built up a reputation as a supplier of high-quality tuning parts.

The Leipzig-based carbon manufacturer has now produced a 93 gram stem and a 179 gram handlebar, which together make an extremely light, but also rather expensive handlebar-stem combination. The handlebars with a slightly offset centre section are shaped to be very easy to grip, the reach (handlebar depth, 77 mm) and drop (handlebar height, 130 mm) are slightly larger and therefore sportier than most mass-produced products. Special feature: The handlebars are available in three widths and four different surface designs; for an extra charge, they are also available for heavier riders than our version approved for up to 100 kilos. The lightweight components work perfectly, everything is manufactured to fit precisely, finished immaculately and the bolts are easy to reach even with a torque spanner. With the specified three Newton metres, the handlebars only clamp reliably with assembly paste; the handlebars survived an increase to six Newton metres without damage.

PLUS Extremely lightweight, ergonomic, various surface designs
