The name change of the "Racelite 2 Carbon" compared to its predecessor "Racelite Carbon" is marginal - but as far as the geometry of the lightweight carbon handlebars from Syntace is concerned, it is a completely new design: a shorter pre-bend brings the grips around 1.5 centimetres closer to the body. At the same time, the handlebar ends have been left in the same position. In addition, the curve in the area of the grip attachment has been made a little longer in a small radius. As a result, you sit a little more relaxed on the bike with the same stem, you have more space in the lower handlebar position and the shift and brake levers are easier to operate from the lower handlebar position.
Syntace has retained the drop, i.e. the distance between the upper and lower link, of 145 millimetres in sizes M and L (151 mm in size XL), which should not be a problem for articulated riders. The ergonomically sensible six-degree rearward tilt of the upper link has been retained. The reinforced clamping areas for the stem and grips are also a good solution in terms of safety. In size L, the handlebar weighs 200 grams.
