The Californian brand 100% is launching three new eyewear models for this summer, which are designed for both cycling and everyday wear. The sunglasses are mainly colour updates.
All three goggle models have special technical features designed to ensure optimum vision in different conditions. The lenses are made of highly impact-resistant polycarbonate and offer 100 per cent UV protection up to 400 nanometres.
A hydrophobic and oleophobic coating is designed to repel water, dirt and oil. The frames are made from flexible and shatterproof TR90 material. Rubberised pads on the nose bridge and temple tips ensure a better grip during sports and in damp conditions.
The Aerocraft model has a 3D-moulded lens designed to ensure maximum clarity without distortion. The Aerocraft is available in three versions: with mirrored multilayer lenses, contrast-enhancing HiPER lenses or self-tinting photochromic lenses. The recommended retail price is between 189 and 219 euros, depending on the version >> e.g. available here.
Weighing just 23 grams, the 100% Hypercraft is said to be particularly suitable for weight-conscious athletes. The frame and temples are reinforced with carbon fibre, which, according to the manufacturer, provides more stability at a lower weight. The design enables a wide field of vision. The cylindrical lens with a 5.5 mm base is designed to improve peripheral vision and offer protection at the same time.
The Hypercraft is also available with different lenses, including contrast-enhancing and self-tinting versions. Prices range between 129 and 169 euros >> e.g. available here. With the Hypercraft XS, there is also a version for narrower faces.
The 100% Slendale sunglasses are a further development of the previous Glendale model and are intended to serve as versatile everyday glasses. According to 100%, it combines timeless design with technical features from the sports sector.
The Ultra HD lenses are designed to ensure optimum vision without distortion. An integrated ventilation system prevents the lenses from misting up. The temple tips are adjustable for improved comfort.
In addition to the standard version, the Slendale SL is a more compact version for smaller faces. The Slendale XS is specially designed for children aged six and over. Prices for the Slendale models range from 69 to 129 euros >> available here.
