Cycling can also be a pleasure in winter - provided that numb, frozen toes don't spoil the fun prematurely. In the TOUR test, eight models from 150 to 250 euros for the cold season.

.

Our test of winter shoes from 15O to 25O euros shows that despite the use of waterproof membranes and insulating linings, not every shoe keeps you dry and warm. We deliberately chose mountain bike models instead of special road bike winter shoes, as these offer more safety when walking and standing. Particularly good models come from Mavic, Northwave and Shimano. They keep you warm and dry and fit many feet.

The test results of these eight models can be found below as a PDF download:

  • Exustar E-SM343
  • Gaerne G.Artix
  • Mavic Drift
  • Northwave Celsius Artic GTX
  • Shimano SH-MW81
  • Sidi Diablo Gore Tex
  • Specialised Defroster MTB
  • Vaude Termatic RC
