Test 2015: Fizik R3B road bike shoes
The sober name doesn't give it away, but Fizik's new R3B road cycling shoe is very stylish. The simple design matches the perforated Microtex upper material, which looks like leather at first glance.

In contrast, the Boa IP1 twist fastener sits enthroned above the midfoot, allowing the fit to be adjusted click by click in both directions or opened quickly with one pull. The forefoot width is regulated by a Velcro strap. In practice, we particularly liked the good, non-slip hold in the shoe, thanks to the high and well-shaped heel. The last shape suits cyclists with normal to wide feet. At 290 grams (in size 43.5), the shoe, which is available in white and black, is not one of the lightweights; the insole is relatively flat and provides little support for the arch of the foot.

PLUS Workmanship, practical Boa fastener, good hold
MINUS Relatively flat insole

Price 250 Euro
Sizes 40-47 (in half sizes), 48
