Individual test: Thermopad sole warmer
These insoles protect against cold feet during winter training. They contain a mix of iron powder, salt, activated charcoal, water and vermiculite, which reacts with oxygen.

A few minutes after opening the packaging, the insoles heat up to a maximum of 45 degrees Celsius and release the heat evenly over five to six hours. The insoles are around three millimetres thick, so there must be enough space in the shoe. Tested at temperatures around freezing point with normal cycling socks, the pads created a pleasant climate in the shoe, keeping you warm without getting sweaty. And you quickly get used to the slight curvature under the foot. Disadvantage: The soles are a disposable product.

PLUSuncomplicated; pleasant warmth
