Individual test: Specialised road bike shoes
Specialized has revised its top shoe and the result is the "S-Works-Road", which is even lighter and easier to adjust.

Instead of the Velcro fastener, the Americans have integrated a second "Boa" twist fastener at the front. Another new feature is a latching system that works in both directions, allowing the shoe to be opened step by step. Weighing just 500 grams in size 44.5 (per pair), the shoe is very well ventilated and the tongue is flexible. The carbon sole is stiff, the walking characteristics are good, and the small tread blocks at the back are even replaceable. Pilots with foot problems can choose between three different insoles for better customisation, and any misalignments can be compensated for with small wedges. All testers unanimously praised the new "S-Works Road" for its good customisability and good ventilation. The new fastening system is a clear improvement on the previous model.
