We have not yet been able to verify this statement due to the lack of corresponding sub-zero temperatures, but at least in early winter temperatures around freezing point, the shoes have proven themselves. Unlike many other winter cycling shoes, the GTX offers your feet a firm hold and comes very close to the feel of normal cycling shoes. This is mainly due to the two Boa twist fasteners, which allow fine adjustment to the foot even while riding. A small suggestion for improvement: If the fasteners on the left shoe could be turned forwards instead of against the direction of travel, they would be even easier to use. The insulation reliably keeps out the cold, while the breathable Gore-Tex upper material guarantees absolute waterproofness - we regularly cleaned the shoe with a pressure washer. Thanks to the rubber studs on the soles, you won't slip when running, and the sole allows all pedal cleats with SPD mountain bike standard to be fitted.
