Individual test: cycling shoes from Carnac
What doesn't fit is made to fit, could be Carnac's motto. The French shoe specialist offers customised road bike shoes. Orders can only be placed when Carnac is visiting a local dealer with its measuring device.

The feet are measured three-dimensionally, the shoe is customised in colour on the PC and the data is forwarded online to the factory in Asia. Carnac promises delivery in four weeks for 2010. However, we had to wait four months for our test shoe to arrive at the editorial office. A little tight, was the hasty judgement of the custom-made shoe. However, there were no annoying pressure points when cycling and the shoe really did fit like a glove. The "Helios" model tested is well made, weighs 670 grams in size 42 and offers optimum ventilation. Carnac's concept is a good solution for problem feet in particular.

PLUS: fits perfectly

MINUS: expensive; long delivery time

Price: 445 Euro
