Individual test 2017: Insole for road bike shoes from Ergon
Insoles are probably one of the most underestimated aids for road cyclists - with or without acute pedalling discomfort.

You realise this at the latest when you try out the new IP3 sole from Ergon in different shoes. It quickly becomes apparent that most - even expensive - road bike shoes only have shapeless flaps instead of insoles, which barely support or guide the foot. The Ergon sole, on the other hand, brings the foot into a stable, neutral position, supports the arch of the foot, guides the foot and keeps the heel in place. Even after many hours in the saddle, when muscles and back or shoulders are already slack and aching, the feet still feel comparatively strong. Realisation after several weeks: We have consistently moved to other shoes with the insoles; and the shoe as such no longer seems so important.

PLUS supports and guides the foot very well and neutrally
