Trek combines classic lacing with an aerodynamic construction in the new RSL Lace shoes. The road bike version weighs 211 g, the MTB version 272 g. The Aero Lace Covers supplied cover the laces for improved aerodynamics.

Aerodynamics and weight

According to wind tunnel tests, the RSL Lace Road shoes are said to save an average of 1.84 watts compared to the RSL Road shoes with BOA fasteners. The lacing allows the fit to be customised. Riders can adjust the tension with pinpoint accuracy.

Sole and power transmission

A 100 per cent OCLV carbon sole forms the basis for power transmission. The new "Watt Lock" inner structure keeps the foot stable in the shoe. The "METNET" technology and the "Pro Last", together with the last shape, are designed to reduce pressure on the metatarsals.

Availability and prices

The RSL Lace Road shoes are now available on trekbikes.com and from Trek dealers. The MTB version is only available online. The price is 349.99 euros.
