The cycling season doesn't necessarily end with the start of autumn - provided the clothing meets the requirements of the colder season. With this in mind, the Swiss brand X-BIONIC is launching its new CoreFusion Ride Warm Cycling collection on the market. What makes it special: The clothing line is the first to transfer the temperature management technology previously used in winter sports to the cycling sector. According to the manufacturer, the technology has already been used by the Swiss ski team and should now also benefit cyclists. At the centre of the collection is the 3D Bionic Sphere System with Thermo Syphon - a structure designed to regulate body temperature using precise 3D knitting technology and special sewing constructions. The system works according to the principle of cooling when perspiration occurs and warming when required. The manufacturer explains that insulating air is trapped when it is cold, while a small amount of moisture is retained for evaporative cooling when perspiration occurs. Excess sweat is wicked away from the skin. The collection includes a long-sleeved jersey, a softshell jacket, short and long bib shorts and a multifunctional tube.

Technologies for precise temperature management

At the heart of the new collection is CoreFusion technology, which combines various functional materials with X-Bionic's 3D knitting technology. The 3D Bionic Sphere System with Thermo Syphon is designed to ensure precise temperature regulation by actively reacting to body temperature. According to the manufacturer, this technology was previously mainly used in underwear for winter sportsmen and women and has now been adapted for cycling. The functionality of the clothing is complemented by other features: four-way stretch material ensures freedom of movement, while ripstop material increases durability. Breathable mesh zones are designed to improve air circulation and water-repellent surfaces protect against light precipitation. Ergonomic, laser-cut braces are also designed to ensure an optimum fit. The manufacturer emphasises that the technology was not only developed in the laboratory, but also tested in practice, including at the Colnago Cycling Festival.
