The Sportful Supergiara 2 W Bibshort is particularly suitable for gravel bikers and marathon racers. The features? Well thought-out features paired with lightweight and robust material and extensive features. Four pockets offer enough space for bars and gels. Can the Supergiara also impress in the test?

Originally designed for the gravel track, the Supergiara 2 W Bibshort from Sportful also appeals to marathon racers looking for sophisticated features. The fine, abrasion-resistant fabric is also extremely durable. Two practical pockets on the thighs allow quick access to snacks, while two additional, airy mesh pockets on the back offer practical storage options for small items.

The classic cut of the cycling shorts is based on tried and tested designs. Sportful has worked with seamless, taut straps that fit well but could be a little wider. On longer tours, they roll in a little and can cause pressure on the shoulders.

The leg cuffs are - as with the Löffler Bib Short in the test - classic fit, but somewhat narrow, which means they are always present when pedalling. While the lighter material is pleasantly airy, we had the feeling that it was a little scratchy in some places and the seams were noticeable during the ride.

Sportful relies on its in-house DMS development for the seat pad. It was specially designed for off-road use and offers an appropriate width and placement. However, our test revealed that we would have liked firmer support, especially around the sit bones, as the foam used seems a little too soft - especially on longer rides.

Overall, the Sportful Supergiara 2 Bibshort is a great choice for adventurous cyclists who value functionality and style.

A somewhat large number of seams, narrow straps and the attached leg cuffs reduce the wearing comfort.

Apart from the slightly adapted seat pad - it has a slightly smaller relief channel in the centre - the Sportful bib is identical to the men's shorts. Our testers criticised the many seams, the slightly scratchy feel of the material and the rather tight fit. The classic cuffs are noticeable when pedalling, the straps roll in slightly when you put them on, but are otherwise comfortable to wear. The seat pad is rather soft in comparison.
