When the morning starts off cool, temperatures rise during the ride and then drop significantly again on shaded descents, many road cyclists find themselves at a crossroads when choosing what to wear. A jersey is too light, whilst a classic jacket is often too warm. With the Thermobooster p1, Assos of Switzerland presents a lightweight and compact mid-layer designed specifically for these conditions.

Thermal insulation with minimal bulk

The Thermobooster p1 is designed to be worn over a jersey and under a jacket. Compared with earlier generations, this model is said to be lighter and have a smaller pack size. This means it can easily be stowed away in a jersey pocket when temperatures rise.

Assos uses Hyperlight insulation to provide thermal protection. The material is designed to prevent the body from getting cold without restricting freedom of movement or compromising the close-fitting design of the Equipe range. The insulation is complemented by Sens-Air-Plus fabric, which is designed to provide all-round protection and breathability.

Aerodynamic fit for training and competition

A key feature of the Thermobooster p1 is its close-fitting design. The sleeves, made from 575cx fabric, fit snugly against the body and are designed to sit neatly over a cycling jersey. This ensures a smooth silhouette, whilst the additional layer of clothing creates as little drag as possible.

A two-way zip allows you to adjust the ventilation whilst cycling. It also makes it easier to access the pockets underneath. Reflective elements are designed to improve visibility in low light. The new Assos A logo adds a subtle visual touch.
