The windproof, water-repellent jacket lined on the inside with roughened Roubaix material weighs 355 grams (in size S). Its cut with the short front and long back is perfectly adapted to the bent racing bike position. The two large pockets are easy to reach into even when wearing long-fingered gloves.
A high collar and tight-fitting cuffs protect against draughts. However, it hardly insulates at all - if you only wear a sports vest underneath, it gets chilly at temperatures below five degrees. The bright orange colour is combined with a lot of black on the back, but reflective material is sufficient and well distributed. The softshell jacket from Gonso is available in various colours and comes in sizes up to 6XL, making it an option for (very) robust cyclists too.
