The windproof, water-repellent "Helium Jacket" from Mavic weighs just 74 grams. In practice, we liked the close-fitting lightweight jacket with its good fit, which hardly fluttered even on fast descents. The zip runs sideways from the chest to the padded collar and can be easily operated with one hand. Small holes are incorporated at the sides and under the sleeves for climate regulation. The waistcoat has a zipped storage compartment at the back, and the reflective piping makes it easy to be seen in traffic even in poor visibility.
